PawTrack
Privacy Policy
Effective July 20, 2026
Overview
PawTrack is a local-first pet health tracker for recording weight, vaccines, deworming and care reminders. No account is required for core features.
Your pet records stay in the local app database unless you deliberately use a cloud-supported feature. Advertising, crash diagnostics, app integrity checks and AI requests involve the third-party services described below.
1. Information We Process
- Local pet records: profile details, weight, vaccine, deworming and reminder data you enter.
- AI requests: your question and a minimized summary of the selected pet's relevant health context, only after you agree and send a question.
- Crash diagnostics: app/device context and technical error data through Firebase Crashlytics.
- Advertising and integrity data: device identifiers, app activity and integrity signals processed by Google AdMob, Firebase App Check and Play Integrity.
PawTrack does not send pet photos or your complete local database to Firebase AI.
2. How Information Is Used
- Local records provide the health timeline, charts, tools and reminders you request.
- AI request data is used to generate the response you requested.
- Crash diagnostics are used to identify and fix reliability problems.
- Advertising data is used to deliver and measure ads.
- Integrity signals help prevent unauthorized clients and abuse.
3. Storage and Deletion
Pet records are stored in a local SQLite database. You can delete individual records in the app, and uninstalling the app removes the local database. PawTrack does not provide cloud backup or cross-device sync.
Data sent to Google services is handled under Google's service terms and retention practices. Resetting AI consent prevents new AI requests until you agree again; it does not retroactively delete data already processed by Google.
4. Google Services
- Google AdMob for advertising. Where required, PawTrack displays Google's consent form before requesting ads and provides ad privacy choices in Settings.
- Firebase Crashlytics for crash diagnostics.
- Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity for app integrity.
- Firebase AI for user-initiated AI responses.
Google may process device identifiers, app activity, technical diagnostics, integrity signals, the text of AI requests and the minimized pet context included with those requests. See the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Permissions
- Photos: Android's system photo picker is opened only when you choose a pet avatar.
- Notifications: requested only when you create a reminder.
- Boot completed: used to restore scheduled local reminders after a device restart.
PawTrack does not request location, contacts, broad media-library access, exact alarm access or a persistent foreground service.
6. Children's Privacy
PawTrack is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13.
7. Health Disclaimer
Age, feeding, body-condition and AI guidance are informational. PawTrack does not provide medical diagnosis, veterinary diagnosis or prescriptions. Contact a qualified veterinarian for health concerns.
8. Your Choices
You can decline AI consent and continue using every non-AI feature. You can also reset AI consent from the About screen. Notification access can be changed in Android settings, and local records can be deleted in PawTrack.
9. Policy Changes
We may update this policy when the product or its service providers change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
